Tri-Neighbours Waste Management Site

Open Wednesday (Seasonally) and Saturday (Year-round)

Wednesday:

April 01 to Oct. 31 – 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.

Saturday

Summer hours:

April 01 to Nov. 30 – 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Winter hours:

Dec. 01 to March 31 – 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

Transfer Site

101 Taylor St, Bruce Mines

Wood/Brush is not allowed at Rose Twp. This must go to the Bruce Mines Transfer site.

Open Mondays only

Nov. 01 to March 31 - SITE CLOSED

Summer Hours:

April 01 to Oct 31 - 3:00pm to 7:00pm

An alternative Transfer Site is also located at 499 River Rd, Thessalon and is open every Friday April 01 to Oct 31 from 3:00pm to 7:00pm

Household Special Waste

Household Special Waste is not accepted at the tri-neighbours landfill site and must be taken to the Hazardous Waste Facility located at 402 Fifth Line East, Sault Ste Marie. Tri-neighbours access cards will be required to enter the HSW depot.

They accept:

  • Acids
  • Aerosols (spray paint, hair spray)
  • Antifreeze
  • Bases (Cleaning Solutions, etc)
  • Batteries (Automotive and Household
  • Fire Extinguishers
  • Flammables (Cleaning Solvents)
  • Oil
  • Oil Filters
  • Oxidizers (Chlorine, Fertilizer)
  • Paint
  • Pesticides

Recycling Calendar - July 2023 to June 2024

Garbage must be placed in clear garbage bags and placed curbside by 7:00am on the day of collection. Garbage will not be picked up if it is not placed in clear garbage bags. Also, garbage will not be picked up if the waste management technician observes that there are recyclable materials in the garbage. It is the responsibility of the property owner to clean up any debris from damaged garbage bags caused by wildlife.
